Trump, 79, Tells Smithsonian to Stop Saying ‘How Bad Slavery Was’
Trump's anti-history reality is based absolutely on his racist mindset! I am 66 years old, and I know old white racist men when I see them because I am an old black man who lived through the pure racism of the '50 into the '60's into the '70's up until the present day. Donald Trump's father was a KKK-adjacent racist and Donald has carried this racism inside of his mind for all of his life.
My great-grandmother's mother was a slave sold off the Fayetteville, N.C. slave market in Fayetteville, N.C.! My great-grandmother lived to be a very sharp of mind 100 years old. And she had stories to tell her grandchildren and her own children. I remember her Choctaw/African creamy brown skin. I remember her beautiful native American-like long hair. I remember she loved to hand out Juicy Fruit chewing gum to us kids. And I remember her voice as she told us uplifting tales of the hard times she lived through.
The evils of slavery were rape, child stealing, forced labor, whips slashing flesh by the Crackers, hard labor in cotton fields and tobacco fields and construction, decapitation, hangings, lynchings, and more 24/7 7 days a week year after year decade after decade horror! Oh, and did I mention the abjectly no consequence rape of slave women because they were... owned human slaves!
My great-grandmother lived through that madness! Her deepest horrors she reserved to keep inside of her own mind. She was a smiling, happy old woman "Minnie" as I called her. But she knew the horror of slavery, but she chose to keep that horror inside of herself. She chose that action.
I do not want old racist white men telling me, and the rest of America, that slavery was not that bad. That is the ultimate horror visited upon black Americans. An old white racist man telling America that slavery was, in fact, a good thing. That is some Rod Serling Twilight Zone The Movie madness!
And to those of you out there who decide to take Donald Trump's racist side? Shame on you and everything you stand for!
